David Hallberg Returns to the American Ballet Theater After a Two and a Half Year Injury

American Ballet Theater Principal Dancer, David Hallberg, will be returning to the company to perform after taking a hiatus for a two and a half years due to an injury.  He will begin rehearsals for the spring repertory at the Metropolitan Opera House.

The Shakespeare Theatre Presents Holiday A Holiday Classic For Its 2016 Season Finale

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey rings in the holiday season with a timeless production of A Child's Christmas in Wales, based on the classic story by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and adapted for the stage by Jeremy Brooks and Adrian Mitchell. The festive show is being revived for the first time since it last appeared on the STNJ stage in 2003, featuring Greg Jackson in the role of Dylan Thomas. Performances begin November 30 and run through January 1 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets to this musical celebration can be purchased by calling the Box Office 973-408-5600 or online at ShakespeareNJ.org.

Berkeley Rep today announced that single tickets for the world premiere of the new musical Monsoon Wedding will go on sale to the general public on Monday, November 14. Monsoon Wedding will have its world premiere at Berkeley Rep's Roda Theatre next spring. Previews begin Friday, May 5, 2017 and the show runs through Sunday, June 25, 2017. Press night for Monsoon Weddingwill be Friday, May 19, 2017.

A genre-melding, blues-rock song cycle, the performance celebrates James Baldwin, a leading African American writer and activist of the mid-20th century, whose work explored the inherent complexities of Western racial, sexual, and class distinctions.

Teaching Artists from Shakespeare's Globe to Lead Workshops with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's PROJECT38 Teachers!

A pair of teaching artists from Shakespeare's Globe in London will be visiting the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company on October 22 to facilitate a day of workshops for the CSC artist-educators and the local teachers involved in this year's PROJECT38. PROJECT38 is an educational celebration of the thirty-eight plays in Shakespeare's canon in which each of over forty schools in the greater Cincinnati area explore one of Shakespeare's plays, facilitated by classroom visits from a CSC artist-educator; the project culminates in the spring in a weekend-long arts festival in which students present a series of performances and visual art projects created in response to their assigned play.

Marin Theatre Company opens its 50th Anniversary Season with Tracy Letts' August: Osage County. The play debuted at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, IL, moving directly to Broadway in 2007. Following its TONY® Award-winning NYC run, the production began its US National Tour in 2009.
