YoungArts announced today programming details for the organization’s upcoming 40th anniversary season with creative and professional development opportunities supporting YoungArts award winners at every stage of their careers and public programming in Miami, New York and online.

Can I Live? goes on a confronting, and ultimately uplifting, journey to discover the global majority activists taking a stand. After watching the filmed performance, audiences will be invited to join discussions and think through the future of our planet, as well as being provided with routes into their own activism.

Paula Poundstone, whose razor-sharp improv skills have delighted comedy audiences for nearly 40 years, brings her acclaimed one-woman show to the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts on October 21.

Also available is a vinyl reissue of the original 13-track album, featuring freshly remastered favorites like “American Music” and the band’s inspired cover of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me.”

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that dance legend Jacques d'Amboise, father of Tony nominee Charlotte d'Amboise, has passed away, according to ABT's Robert La Fosse. He was 86 years old.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that composer Jim Steinman has passed away, according to TMZ. He was 73 years old.

Boston Ballet is presenting BB@yourhome: The Art of Classical Ballet, an approximately one-hour long program featuring a curated look at the foundations of the artform with excerpts from classical ballet favorites newly filmed in the studio. The Art of Classical Ballet premieres on March 25 and will be available until April 4.
