Canadian-based Monlove Enterprises today announced that tickets to the world premiere of N THE QUEEN OF PARIS at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto will go on sale on September 24, 2014. The new musical, which will open exactly one year later, was inspired by the Champagne atmosphere and rags-to-riches romance of Emile Zola's classic novel Nana with its gaslight glimpses into the backstage world of Parisian theatres, 'Joie de vivre' and courtesans' salons.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage's 'Intimate Apparel,' a love story that confronts race and religion, directed by Mary B. Robinson, from October 7 through November 1. 'Intimate Apparel' is the recipient of the American Theatre Critics and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for Best Play.

In October 2014, the New Museum will present the first major solo museum exhibition in the United States of artist Chris Ofili's work. Occupying the Museum's three main galleries, 'Chris Ofili: Night and Day' will span the artist's influential career, encompassing his paintings, drawings, and sculptures.

From September 18-28, 2014, Houston Ballet offers up its fall mixed repertory program titled From Houston to the World with ballets choreographed for Houston Ballet dancers. Finnish choreographer Jorma Elo brings wit and humor to the extreme virtuosity that he demands in ONE/end/ONE. Edwaard Liang's deeply spiritual ballet Murmuration also returns. Producers of the Tony Award-winning musical Rodgers +Hammerstein's Cinderella, Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman and Stephen Kocis, announce that Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning actress Judy Kaye will join the cast as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother - alongside the previously announced Keke Palmer as Cinderella and Sherri Shepherd as her wicked stepmother Madame - beginning September 12 at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) in New York City.

From September 4-14, 2014, Houston Ballet launches its 45th season with the company premiere of John Neumeier's three-act ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream. The ballet is based on Shakespeare's lighthearted play of the same name and follows the hijinks and hilarity that ensues when a well-intentioned plan with a love potion goes awry. Created in 1977, A Midsummer Night's Dream has served as Mr. Neumeier's calling card, being seen as one of his most joyous and popular creations. Houston Ballet is the first American ballet company to perform the famous work and it is the first piece by Mr. Neumeier to enter the Houston Ballet repertoire.

Over the course of the three-week festival Mr. Bronfman performs the complete Beethoven Piano Concerto cycle as well as the Triple Concerto with Principal Cello Carter Brey and Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow in the final Philharmonic appearance of his 34-year tenure. The festival also features the World Premieres of Lyra by Anthony Cheung and Songs by Sean Shepherd, both commissioned by the New York Philharmonic as part of The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Prize for New Music, pairing the master composer's concertos with new commissions now entering the repertoire.
