Members of the Naughton Family - two-time Tony Award winner and Weston, Connecticut resident James Naughton, daughter Keira Naughton, son Greg Naughton, and Greg's wife Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara - plus Blythe Danner, Jordan Coughtry, Edward Herrmann, Chad Kinsman, Jake Robards, Mark Shanahan, and Dana Steingold are cast in Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand playreading of "The Philadelphia Story," the romantic comedy classic by Philip Barry, set for one-night-only on Monday, December 10, 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of his birth, Melies' family has created a unique "cine-concert" that's touring the world. The tour comes to Chicago's Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Avenue, today, October 27, 12:15 p.m.

Trav'lin - The New 1930s Harlem Musical, will receive its Regional Premiere production at Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre in Spring 2013. The musical, which received a developmental production in 2010 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), runs March 29, 2013 through April 28, 2013.

Opera Columbus and Shadowbox Live have collaborated to create Opera Cabaret, an innovative, new program designed to take opera out of a traditional theatre setting and transform it into an immersive, interactive, and highly accessible experience in a casual environment. Opera Cabaret is designed to appeal to audiences aged 21-40, and provide an introduction to opera for those who have no experience with the art form or who may not be inclined to attend a traditional opera performance in a theatre.

Calista Flockhart, T.R. Knight and Dakin Matthews head the cast when L.A. Theatre Works opens its 2012-13 season with Christopher Hampton's new version of Anton Chekhov's tragi-comic masterpiece, The Seagull. The cast also includesGordon Clapp, Stephen Collins, Logan Fahey, Cindy Katz and Josh Stamberg, with Rosalind Ayres directing. Five performances will take place Sept. 20-23 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater, where they will be recorded for broadcast on L.A. Theatre Works' nationally syndicated radio theater series.

Philippine Stagers Foundation, the creator of original Filipino musicals 'Cory ng EDSA' and 'Enzo Santo,' comes up with another captivating production in 'Joe: The Filipino Rock'sical,' which opened last weekend at St. Cecilia's Auditorium, St. Scholastica's College, and will continue to run there on Saturday, July 21, and on Sunday, July 22, and at the Tanghalang Pasigueño on Sunday, July 29.

Mr. Laurents, whose credits include West Side Story, Gypsy, La Cage Aux Folles, Hallelujah, Baby and The Way We Were, amongst many others, had a long and distinguished career, both on Broadway and in Hollywood. The Old Globe's 2012-13 Season will feature the World Premieres of two new musicals: Allegiance - A New American Musical by Jay Kuo and Lorenzo Thione and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak. The season also includes George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in celebration of the classic play's 100th anniversary and the World Premiere of a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey and Kirsten Brandt. Two recent Broadway hits will make their San Diego debuts at the Globe: David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People and Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. Rounding out the season are the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Be a Good Little Widow and the Southern California Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size.

Subscriptions go on sale today for the 2012-13 Opera Columbus season which sees the return of Toronto-based Opera Atelier and the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. The two-show season includes Opera Atelier's revival of Mozart's wildly popular The Magic Flute and the back-by-popular-demand New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players in H.M.S. Pinafore. Both productions will again employ local artists-the Opera Columbus Chorus and the Columbus Symphony-and all performances will be held in the Southern Theatre.

The Finborough Theatre's 'Celebrating British Music Theatre' series continues with the first fully staged professional UK production of Gilbert and Sullivan's final operetta, The Grand Duke, since the original 1896 production. It opens at the Finborough Theatre for a strictly limited run of six Sundays and Mondays from Sunday, 1 April 2012.

London-based musical theater actress Joanna Ampil (MISS SAIGON, AVENUE Q), who's been playing the coveted role of postulant Maria Rainer (with Cris Villonco as alternate actress) in Resorts World Manila's local production of Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers' beloved musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC(SOM) for over three months now, would need to postpone her planned visit to New York City this winter because Resorts World has just announced SOM's extended performances till February 12, 2012.
