The Drama League is pleased to announce the complete line-up of performers for the 27th annual all-star gala, 'A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF BROADWAY.' New York City Opera General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel today announced the company's 2010-2011 season, which spotlights American composers and 20th-century works within a mix of world premieres, New York premieres and new productions. Offering audiences the opportunity to experience new and rarely performed operas as well as modern interpretations of traditional repertoire, the 2010-2011 season will also feature the launch of a concert series showcasing the non-operatic works of several of the composers of this season's operas. Taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the recent renovation of the company's home, the David H. Koch Theater, the concert series expands the repertoire and programming of City Opera and casts new light on the season's productions.

Rehearsals begin today, Monday 11 October, for Ian Talbot's production of Ken Hill's The Invisible Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory. The cast is Michael Beckley, Gerard Carey, Natalie Casey, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Maria Friedman, Christopher Godwin, Teddy Kempner, John Gordon Sinclair, Jo Stone-Fewings and Gary Wilmot.

The Menier Chocolate Factory announces its Autumn/Winter 2010 season beginning with the European premiere of Accomplice - part game, part theatre, part tour around the streets of SE1. Accomplice is followed by Jonathan Munby's production of Caryl Churchill's A Number starring Timothy and Samuel West, and Ken Hill's The Invisible Man directed by Ian Talbot.

Broadway star Andrea McArdle is set to take on the iconic role of Miss Hannigan this summer in the North Carolina Theatre's production of ANNIE, according to published reports. McArdle is best known for her Tony-nominated performance of the title role in ANNIE during its original run on Broadway.
