The San Diego Women's Chorus treated audiences this past weekend (May 6-7, 2017) to a set of three celebratory performances of their 30th Anniversary concert, 'Reflections: Looking Back On Our First 30 Years!' at the University Christian Church in Hillcrest. The concerts featured over 100 women of SDWC singing songs from the chorus' 30-year history, encapsulating the group's rich commitment to peace, social action, honoring the lives of women who came before them, and providing quality musical entertainment to the local community.

The Tony Award-nominated comedy, "Lettice and Lovage," will open Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of "Amadeus," and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director.  The play runs from May 30 through June 17. 

Arthur Miller's classic drama, ALL MY SONS, plays for two more weekends through May 6, 2017 at Carrollwood Players.

JOSEFINA LOPEZ, the award-winning playwright and screenwriter, the creator of the pop culture play and film, Real Women Have Curves, and the Founding Artistic Director of CASA 0101 Theater is about to give birth to yet another artistic milestone in her career, that of Restaurateur.  That's right!  Although primarily universally known as a writer, Josefina Lopez is also a Culinary Chef who graduated with a Supreme Diploma from the renowned Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.  She has also attended the New School of Cooking in Culver City where she studied cuisine with a California touch and making pastries, as well as the Gourmandise Cooking School in Santa Monica, where she studied chocolate making, bread making, pasta making and pastries.

The brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) with music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, opens tonight, April 26, at The Bernard B. Due to demand, Steve Martin and Martin Short have added two new 2017 dates of their hilarious show "An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Lives featuring the Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Tickets for the two new shows scheduled Friday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 29 will go on-sale Friday, Jan. 27 at noon PT. The performances are presented jointly by AEG Live and Caesars Entertainment.
