Wasatch Theatrical Ventures will present one of the great American plays of the 20th century, INHERIT THE WIND, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. In a small town courtroom and with the eyes of the nation upon them, two legal giants face off over a teacher's right to teach evolution to a high school class in this critically acclaimed drama based on the Scopes Monkey Trial. As rousing and relevant today as it was when it debuted in 1955, INHERIT THE WIND is an edge-of-your-seat riveting look at the age-old conflict between science and religion. The play opens Friday, February 8th and runs through March 16th at the Grove Theatre Center in Burbank, CA.

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off its 2013-2014 season with the OBIE Award-winning 4,000 Miles by Amy Herzog on October 11-November 10 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). The forthcoming Broadway production REAR WINDOW has found its creative team in playwright Keith Reddin(Too Much Memory, Life and Limb) and director Terry Kinney (reasons to be pretty, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest). A 25th anniversary production of the imaginative, fractured-fairy tale musical "Into the Woods" by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim will be staged at the theater where Sondheim was an apprentice in 1950, Westport Country Playhouse, in Westport, CT, May 1 through May 26. Directed by Mark Lamos, the Playhouse's artistic director, the musical will open the historic theater's 82nd season. It is co-produced with Baltimore's CENTERSTAGE.
