New circus theatre company Oddly Moving is retelling the Greek Myth of Atlas using circus, autobiographical storytelling, physical theatre, projections and object manipulation. The show shines a light on the individual looking at the personal burden of what-ifs, joys, regrets and turning points.
Outcry Theatre presents a world premiere play, Dreams of Icarus, directed by Becca Johnson-Spinos and starring Logan Beutel and Dylan Weand. The play is a devised work, created by the actors and director based on the classic Greek Myth of Icarus and Daedalus. Dreams of Icarus will perform December 20-29, 2019 at the Addison Theatre Centre Stone Cottage.
Tony Award-winning La MaMa is currently presenting the world premiere of VIRGO STAR, an intimate interactive performance, written and devised by the Pioneers Go East Collective - Gian Marco Riccardo Lo Forte and Daniel Diaz, in collaboration with Philip Treviño, Anabella Lenzu and Agosto Machado, and directed by Gian Marco Riccardo Lo Forte.
CoLaboratory at Son of Semele has announced the world premiere of Sand Moon, a new drama written and directed by Liz Lanier. Opening is set for Friday, April 19, at 8pm, at Son of Semele Theater in Los Angeles. The engagement will run through April 28 only.
Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) stages its second Studio Theatre production of the 2018-19 season with "If We Were Birds" by Erin Shields. Helene Kvale will direct.
