Andrew Lloyd-Webber has confirmed he is looking for a buyer or partner to take possession of the Palace Theatre, the first theatre he bought outright in 1983 for £1.3million, according to the UK's Daily Express.

According to the Evening Standard, theatre legend Andrew Lloyd Webber will award 10 scholarships for performers going to college for music and drama. The Weekend Arts College, which just lost its Arts Council grant will also receive funding from Lloyd Webber to go towards employing arts tutors.

Producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, in association with Tony Fusco and Larry Feinman, and by special arrangement with/and based on the Vereinigte Buhnen Wien GmbH production, announced that the new musical REBECCA, based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, will open on Broadway Sunday, April 22 at a Shubert theater to be announced. Previews will begin Tuesday, March 27. Sierra Boggess (currently starring in Master Class, The Little Mermaid, Love Never Dies) is in negotiations to play the role of 'I.'

Producers Jeffrey Finn and Jill Furman announced today that two-time Tony Award nominee, Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Alan Rickman (Private Lives, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, the Harry Potter franchise) will make his eagerly-anticipated return to Broadway starring in the World Premiere of SEMINAR, a new play by Theresa Rebeck (Mauritius, The Understudy, Omnium Gatherum, The Family of Mann, Spike Heels, NBC's upcoming 'Smash'). Directed by acclaimed Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, The Aliens, Tigers Be Still, Kin, The Coward) in his Broadway debut, the production will open at a Shubert Theatre to be announced this Fall 2011.
