Chicago -Pegasus Theatre Chicago announces the world premiere of Rutherford's Travels, the adaptation of Charles Johnson's beloved National Book Award-winning novel, "Middle Passage," November 2 - December 4 at Pegasus's resident home Chicago Dramatists, 773 N. Aberdeen. Rutherford's Travels is co-adapted and directed by Pegasus Theatre Producing Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan and co-adapted by David Barr, III, music directed and composed by Shawn Wallace and choreographed by Nicole Clarke-Springer.

As part of The Wallace Foundation's Building Audiences for Sustainability initiative, PNB has commissioned works from five local choreographers, created in conversation with sculptures on-site at the park. This free public event features five new works created by Donald Byrd, Kiyon Gaines, Ezra Thomson, Kate Wallich and Olivier Wevers, performed by dancers from Pacific Northwest Ballet, PNB School, Spectrum Dance Theater, and Whim W'Him. SCULPTURED DANCE will be presented one night only, 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Today, August 11, 2016, at SAM's Olympic Sculpture Park, 2901 Western Avenue on Seattle's waterfront. On February 12, 1915, the Abrons Arts Center's Henry Street Settlement Playhouse opened its doors on the Lower East Side. Since that day, it has remained a vital cultural resource, providing audiences with artistically bold work while offering artists opportunities to dynamically grow. Since becoming Artistic Director in 2006, Jay Wegman has done much more than maintain "one of the last standing locations for avant-garde performance downtown" (The New York Times, 2009). He has created an arts venue that is unique to the city's cultural landscape, presenting an international mix of cutting-edge performing and visual artists, both established and emerging, from across the country and around the world, as well as from New York City. In a 2015 New York Times profile, Wegman says Abrons is "a place for people to succeed or fail or land somewhere in between."

?LOST DOG, fronted by its highly individual, accomplished Artistic Director BEN DUKE, recently hit the jackpot with 5 star reviews and capacity audiences for the coruscating dance/theatre production 'Paradise Lost (lies unopened beside me)' which has been gaining momentum since its premiere at Battersea Arts Centre in May 2015.  The final dates in the spring 2016 tour are at Wilton's Music Hall, July 19th to 24th.

KANSAS CITY, MO (April 15, 2016) — The 58th season of Kansas City Ballet closes with a mixed–repertory program of four bold and electrifying works in one performance: Viktor Plotnikov's WORLD PREMIERE, Vesna, featuring the music of Antonín Dvorák, Yuri Possokhov's Diving into the Lilacs including music by Boris Tchaikovsky, Helen Pickett's Petal with music of Thomas Newman and Philip Glass and closing the program with Adam Hougland's Rite of Spring with the brilliant masterpiece score by Igor Stravinsky. The production will be accompanied by Kansas City Symphony conducted by Kansas City Ballet Music Director Ramona Pansegrau and runs May 6 through 15 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
