Michael James is going back to his roots with production of 'Man of La Mancha' by Theo Ubique at Cabaret Theatre. The theater produces its shows in association with James. His father, Hal James, was one of the original producers of the first Broadway production.

LOUIS features such time-honored favorites such as 'The Trolley Song,' 'The Boy Next Door,' and the classic 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.'

A Special Jeff Award will be presented to director/producer William Pullinsi at the Jeff Awards Ceremony, October 19th, in recognition of his 50 years in theatre. The Second City will receive a Tribute Award in honor of their 50th Anniversary. 'Our ceremony will include highlights of Second City's unique brand of humor over the years and performances by the casts of 'Studs Terkel's Not Working' and 'America: All Better,' says Producer Diane Hires.

The Tony Award® nominated hit musical IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the stage reinvention of the beloved classic film, directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Randy Skinner, with music supervision by Rob Berman, is pleased to announce Broadway principal casting. Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is thrilled to announce that the eighth annual Tommy Tune Awards will include 45 high schools from the greater Houston area. Developed by TUTS in 2002, the Tommy Tune Awards honor musical theatre excellence at the high school level. During the 2009-2010 school year, a team of 35 Houston-based theatre professionals will evaluate the participating high school productions and announce the winners at a Tony Awards-style ceremony to be held April 20, 2010 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The event will feature spotlight numbers from the nominated shows, as well as award presentations to the performers, directors, choreographers, orchestras and designers, who have defined excellence throughout 2009 - 2010.
