The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 36th Rolling World Premiere: Steven Dietz's Rancho Mirage will receive four productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2013/14 season. Rancho Mirage will begin its Rolling World Premiere at Olney Theatre Center (Olney, MD, September 26 - October 20, 2013), followed by performances at New Repertory Theatre (Watertown, MA, October 13 - November 3, 2013), Phoenix Theatre (Indianapolis, IN, October 24 - November 24, 2013), and Curious Theatre Company (Denver, CO, October 31 - December 7, 2013).

After 15 years Horse Trade Theater Group is sad to announce that they will no longer be operating out of The Red Room, a 32-seat theater located on the third floor of 85 East 4th Street. The landlord has decided to repurpose the space, and it will no longer be a performing arts venue. Horse Trade will be searching for a new third venue, and in the meantime will continue to operate out of The Kraine Theater at 85 East 4th Street and UNDER St. Marks at 94 St. Marks Place, for the foreseeable future. Horse Trade couldn't let The Red Room go without a proper send-off! So the month of March will be full of special events in The Red Room, as they say goodbye to a beloved East Village staple.

Lantern Theater Company will celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season and honor Frank X and Helen McMahon with the 2013 Luminary Award at its Annual Benefit tonight, March 1, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. An Evening in the King's Court will be held at the beautiful new Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, which is located in the iconic Lafayette Building at 5th & Chestnut Streets in Center City.

The Douglas Morrisson Theatre opens its 2013-14 Season of Mystery & Romance with a bang in February with 'Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure' by Steven Dietz. The play, based on the original 1899 script by William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle, won the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play. Directed by Kendall Tieck, the play features an ensemble of Bay Area performers including Craig Dickerson as Sherlock Homes, Scott G. Hartman as Dr. Watson, Steve Schwartz as Moriarty, J. Geoffrey Colton as The King of Bohemia, Sarah Klaren as Irene Adler, Brian O'Connor as James Larrabee, Eve McElheney as Madge Larrabee and Bruce Kaplan as Sid Prince.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, delves into the 2012-2013 Season with an intimate look at two lonely souls in Eugene O'Neill's Hughie. This two-man show by one of the most famous American playwrights will be directed by Broadway veteran Doug Hughes. The production runs at STC's Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) from January 31-March 17, 2013.

Renowned producer and member of TV on the Radio Dave Sitek today announced the launch of Federal Prism - a new record label where Sitek will personally record, mix, produce, and release a series of limited edition 12-inch vinyl picture discs with a uniquely curator-driven perspective. WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the directors for the Company's 2012-2013 Main Stage season at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, The Mystery of Irma Vep (September 28 - October 21, 2012) will be Terry Martin. It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (November 23 - December 16, 2012) will be directed by Mark Fleischer. Black Tie (May 31 - June 23, 2013) will be directed by Rene Moreno. As previously announced, Putting It Together (January 11 - February 3, 2013) and The Grapes of Wrath (April 5-28, 2013), will be directed by Terry Martin. The director for Xanadu (July 26 - August 18, 2013) will be announced at a later date.
