Just in time for Halloween, the first national tour of the new musical The Addams Family, will make its Seattle premiere tonight, October 24-November 11, 2012 at The 5th Avenue Theatre. Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, this smash Broadway hit brings the darkly delirious world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and, of course, Lurch to spooky and spectacular life.

Producers of THE ADDAMS FAMILY announced additional dates today for the Fall 2012 leg of the musical's North American tour. The production will play Dallas (Oct. 2 - 21), Seattle (Oct. 24 - Nov. 11), Salt Lake City (Nov. 13 - 18), Las Vegas (Nov.20 - 25), Tempe (Dec. 11 - 16) and Costa Mesa (Dec. 18 - 30). Plus, Curtis Holbrook (West Side Story, Xanadu) will join the cast of the national tour as "Lucas Beineke."

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today its 2012 NYFF HBO Films® Directors Dialogues participants would be Abbas Kiarostami, David Chase and Robert Zemeckis and the popular On Cinema conversation will feature two directors - Noah Baumbach and Brian De Palma. FSLC also announced additional titles as part of its Masterworks program, including the Director's Cut of Frank Oz's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, restored versions of Michael Cimino's HEAVEN'S GATE, Laurence Olivier's RICHARD III and Peter Whitehead's THE ROLLING STONES - CHARLING IS MY DARLING - IRELAND 1965, as well as two special sidebar presentations as part of the festival's 50th Anniversary celebration.

Like the nefarious, carnivorous plant at the center of its story, LITTLE SHOP is on a long, deliberate path to conquer the world…of stage and screen. Director/choreographer Russell Garrett and his team of designers have crafted a production that is visually and technically spot on, with Musical Direction by Todd C. BASE Entertainment has just announced that DINER, a new musical based on the critically acclaimed 1982 film with a book by Academy Award winner and original DINER screenwriter Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by 9-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, will have its pre-Broadway world premiere at San Francisco's SHN Curran Theatre (445 Geary Street). Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, DINER will play a strictly limited four week engagement from Tuesday, October 23, 2012, through Sunday, November 18, 2012, with an opening night of Friday, November 2, 2012. Due to these confirmed San Francisco dates DINER will now bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013, instead of the fall of 2012 as previously announced. Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.
