Filmed and recorded over four days and directed by David Litchfield, the release of One Hand Clapping is a historic moment for Paul McCartney fans.  Over the years, various parts of One Hand Clapping have been bootlegged with varying degrees of success.  Some of the material has also appeared on official McCartney releases. However, the June 14 release of One Hand Clapping is the first time the audio for the film—plus several additional songs recorded off-camera--have been officially issued.

Sia and Paris Hilton have released their first-ever collaborative track “Fame Won’t Love You.” It follows a run of singles from Sia with other hitmakers like “Incredible” ft. Labrinth and “Dance Alone” ft. Kylie, in addition to the poignant solo ballad “I Forgive You.” All four of these songs are on Sia’s upcoming album Reasonable Woman, out May 3, 2024 via Atlantic Records. Listen to the song here!

Acclaimed Irish indie rock band Pillow Queens is diving into intoxicating feelings with punchy, cathartic track and official video 'Heavy Pour' out now ahead of their LP release on Friday, April 19. The band's triumphant third studio album Name Your Sorrow is due out April 19 and available for pre-order now. Should you avoid seeing the show? For God’s sake, no. You will miss what is surely going to be one of the most talked about pieces of work in Houston’s theatrical history. Go see it, and make your own call whether you love or hate it. But don’t let them brainwash you into thinking this is only about love because it is also about repulsion, and that is okay. It is very much as if David Cronenberg and David Lynch made a movie, and Jim Henson designed the sex scenes.

Believe it or not, Summer is coming.  After we sneeze our way through a way-too-flowery Spring, we get to contemplate the joys of those little weekend getaways here and there, sneaking out of town to enjoy some solid artistry in friendly locales. 

Let’s face it, the world of theatre, at times, can be misogynistic. Even though we joke about the multitude of gay men that are involved in theatre, that does not mean it is exempt from the repercussions of “the patriarchy”. As a gay man myself, I understand this problem all too well, but here in Dayton, we have luckily had some incredibly impactful pieces that were not only led by women, but speak upon the experiences of womanhood.
