Brooklyn-based nonprofit Photoville has announced Photoville NYC 2022 (June 4 - 26), marking the outdoor festival’s celebratory return to a summer format for the first time in 10 years, and filling all five of New York’s boroughs with expansive and vivid views of our world.

On June 3, Cumbancha releases the album Mista Savona Presents Havana Meets Kingston Part 2 featuring an all-star lineup of musicians from Cuba and Jamaica. An epic set of 15 tracks, Havana Meets Kingston Part 2 unites the deep roots grooves of reggae, dancehall and rocksteady with the scorching soul of Cuban son, timba and salsa.

TFANA has extended the run of Alice Childress’s Wedding Band, directed by Awoye Timpo, to May 22. (The production, which began previews April 28—postponed from an original date of April 23 due to two COVID-19 cases—was formerly set to close May 15).

Artistic Directors Charlotte Bennett and Katie Posner have today announced Paines Plough's Roundabout programme for 2022. The award-winning pop-up venue will be premiering three new plays in rep at Summerhall as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time since 2019. Boston Baroque will celebrate its 50th Anniversary Season with both concerts and events at NEC's Jordan Hall, GBH's Calderwood Studio, and on the global streaming platform IDAGIO. The season, led by founding Music Director Martin Pearlman, includes a return to Handel's Messiah and Bach's masterpiece, the B minor Mass, Mozart's “Jupiter” Symphony, and a much-anticipated new production of Gluck's opera Iphigénie en Tauride starring soprano Wendy Bryn Harmer and tenor William Burden.

Today, The Bentonville Film Festival unveiled their distinguished Competition Jury, singularly dedicated to inclusive representation in media and entertainment. The festival, produced by the BFFoundation and chaired by Academy Award-winning Actor Geena Davis, will take place in-person June 22-26 and virtually June 22-July 3. The illustrious group of jurors is composed of award-winning producers, directors, actors and authors, including actor Yolonda Ross, film and television producer Bird Runningwater, actor Shohreh Aghdashloo, writer and filmmaker Justine Bateman, among others. The Festival is sponsored by Founding Partner, Walmart and Presenting Partner Coca-Cola.

Skylight Music Theatre announced the full cast for the Wisconsin premiere of Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, running May 20 through June 12, 2022.
