On Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd four of Orlando's best performers will unite for 'A Journey Through LOVE: A Progressive Cabaret.' Produced by the Squeaky Wheel Theatre Project and hosted by Master Class Academy, this first of its kind cabaret experience will feature three different cabaret acts, in three unique rooms, each chronicling the highs and lows of different stages of being in (or out of) love.

One of the most idiosyncratic and undeniably gifted composers and lyricists to emerge this century, Michael Mott has taken the theatre world by storm with his absolutely spectacular collection of compositions titled WHERE THE SKY ENDS: THE SONGS OF MICHAEL MOTT and now Mott discusses the finer points of his newest concert event occurring at 54 Below this week featuring an all-star cast, THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS HOW, as well as highlights some of the new material being presented in the exciting evening. In addition to some spectacular selections from WHERE THE SKY ENDS, Mott and company will also be premiering several fresh songs from Mott's new musicals currently in development, including the 70s-era mafia-themed musical comedy MOB WIFE and the epic and imaginatively conceived new mythical musical FAUSTUS. Besides the songs from new musicals, Mott will also be showcasing a few new pop compositions that he has recently completed including 'Minefield Of Love' which had its debut last month in the 54 Below show ITHACA COLLEGE AT 54 BELOW. Plus, Mott shares details of a new song specifically commissioned for young rising musical theatre star Emma Howard of MATILDA fame, 'Fly High', as well as what he boasts may be his most challenging and impressive showstopper to date, which is set to be performed by musical theatre superstar Jeremy Jordan, 'Rise Or Fall' from FAUSTUS. TheatreZone founder and artistic director Mark Danni today unveiled his musical selections for the non-profit Equity professional theatre group's 11th consecutive season opening with legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch's final Broadway show Sweet Smell of Success on January 7, 2016 closely followed by The Boy From Oz in February, Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods in March and concluding with the tap dancing comedic gem Dames at Sea in May.

But this masterpiece of vocal jazz, which will be released today, March 17 by Ralph Peterson's Onyx Music Label, affirms her standing in the front ranks of jazz singers performing today.

Maria Callas got the world used to hearing singing that was not always pitch-perfect yet still essential listening. I kept thinking about this at the Met the other night during the new production of Rossini's LA DONNA DEL LAGO with a cast headed by a couple of stars, mezzo Joyce DiDonato and tenor Juan Diego Florez, who are well known for their bel canto style.

The 67th season of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, under the leadership of General Manager Bernard Foccroulle, will present the world premiere productions of operas by Handel and Mozart; the French premiere of Jonathan Dove's children's opera The Monster in the Maze led by Sir Simon Rattle with the London Symphony Orchestra; and a revival of director Robert Carsen's acclaimed 1991 Festival production of Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Festival's major vocal presentations this season will also include Serbian composer Ana Sokolovi?'s unconventional one-act a capella opera Svadba (Marriage), and a double bill presenting Persephone,Stravinsky's melodrama for tenor, female narrator, choir, children's choir, dancers and orchestra, with Tchaikovsky's last opera, Iolanta.

Since the early 90's, songwriter/composer and keyboard player Milan Petrovic has been active in the Serbian music scene. A former member of the popular reggae group called 'Del Arno Band' (1995) and have recorded the albums 'Retrospective,' and 'Vreme Vode' with them as they performed to every big music festival in and around Serbia until 2009. By the year 2002, he had already performed with various blues bands namely, Texas Flood, Raw Hide, Blue Shark, Roosterblues Band, Bootleg Blues (E75) and the Blue Family. He then became a member of Serbian Pop singer, Ana Stanic's stage band and three years later, he found himself recording his first instrumental album with some of the top Serbian Jazz and Blues artists.
