Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the roster for Lincoln Center's fourth multidisciplinary White Light Festival, October 24 through November 23, 2013. The Festival's focus is music's capacity to illuminate the many dimensions of our interior lives, with a particular emphasis this year on the power of the voice. Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 23 performances, films, and events featuring seven premieres and debuts by artists and companies from more than a dozen countries, including France, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Mali, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Canada and the U.S. New to this edition of the Festival is White Light on Film, film screenings followed by discussions with their directors. Other Festival components include: a panel discussion focused on the subject of time, pre- and post-performance artist discussions, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges.

THE BOYS IN THE BAND is a classic 1970 film directed by William Friedkin, and co-stars Laurence Luckinbill as an out-of-the-closet husband and father. The screenplay by Mart Crowley is based on his hit Off-Broadway play of the same title. 'THE BOYS IN THE BAND is not a musical" read the film's original ads. As the first major film studio production to deal frankly with homosexuality, every member of the show's original Off-Broadway cast ap- pears in the iconic film, including Laurence Luckinbill.

Darren Julien, founder and CEO of Julien's Auctions and Martin Nolan, Executive Director led their entire team in a fitting tribute to the King of Pop by wearing sequined gloves specially made for the auction event. The one-year anniversary of the passing of Dennis Tompkins was also observed with a moment of silence at the beginning of the collection offering. Lady Gaga was among the collectors as she tweeted Sunday that she bought 55 pieces in the sale administered by Julien's Auctions and said she plans to keep the items "archived and expertly cared for in the spirit and love of Michael Jackson, his bravery and fans worldwide."
