Devoted to kids and families since 1995, The New Victory Theater embarks on its 20th Anniversary season as New York's premier destination for inventive, inspiring and international performing arts at affordable prices. Car Talk, written by Elaine Alexander and directed by Della Freedman was chosen as a finalist for the Manhattan Repertory Theatre's One-Act Playwriting Contest. It is a short one-act comedy that depicts the story of an accountant who goes car shopping with his status seeking fiancee on an expedition to find the perfect car for her, which leads him on the quest to find his true self.

I had the chance to chat with Amy and Freddy prior to their sell-out July performances at The Copa and I thought is was worth sharing again - here are a few excerpts from that conversation:

The New York Philharmonic will present a semi-staged production of Kern & Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning musical Show Boat, November 5 - 8, 2014. Vanessa Williams will star as Julie, Julian Ovenden will star as Gaylord Ravenal, and Lauren Worsham will star as Magnolia, all in their Philharmonic debuts.
