The Official Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum & Hotel is proud to announce that they have finally signed a term sheet to acquire its Harlem building and development site on 125th St for its long awaited Uptown Manhattan project. The Hip Hop Hall of Fame team is now actively engaged in its capital campaign to complete its next round of $5M to close escrow on the site, and another $10M to complete its building & hotel design revisions, and building permits phases to break ground and open in 2020-21.

The Orlando by way of Brazil based artist NIKO IS just dropped his new video “Coca” via Hip Hop DX. The “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” meets Los Angeles inspired video features NIKO with producer and collaborator Thanks Joey. Directed by Narcy, the video is true to the Hunter S. Thompson aesthetic, depicting the two characters in a distorted version of reality as they lounge in a convertible under the sun and bum around the beach. NIKO says of the song,'Music is like dope. Music Makes people feel invincible. We wanted to capture that in audio form. Fear and loathing in tropicalia. NARCY filmed the video and executed our vision perfectly. Gonzo. Puro.”

The Hip Hop Nutcracker (www.hiphopnutcracker.com), a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky's timeless music will play the Fabulous Fox Theatre today, November 30 at 8:00 p.m.   Produced by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with Executive Producer, Eva Price, and co-commissioned by the United Palace of Cultural Arts, The Hip Hop Nutcracker will feature MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, opening the show in most cities with a short set before rapping the introduction.

A holiday mash-up for the entire family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker is a contemporary re-imagining of Tchaikovsky's timeless music performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, an on-stage DJ, and an electric violinist. Through the spell cast by the mysterious Drosselmeyer, Maria-Clara and her Nutcracker prince travel back in time to the moment when her parents first meet in a 1980s' Brooklyn nightclub. MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, will open the show with a short set before rapping the introduction.

The powerful storytelling of Crowded Fire Theater and playwright Star Finch, the musical and poetic impetus of Ensemble Mik Nawooj, and the diverse and unique physical rhythms of AXIS Dance Company come together at the beautiful Bayview Opera House Ruth Williams Memorial Theatre. In this immersive study of aesthetics, the artists merge hip-hop, contemporary dance, and theater into a boundary-pushing work featuring a 12-person orchestra; a work which challenges the conventions of performing arts at large while creating a future vision that can be replicated in communities in need of healing throughout the country.

To continue its 25th anniversary season, Hyde Park School of Dance (HPSD) offers fans of ballet, modern and hip hop its annual presentation of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, featuring more than 175 dancers—from seven-year-olds to grandparents, including members of the pre-professional Studio Company and senior dancers who have grown up at the school— supported by more than 100 volunteers.
