The Louisville Hip Hopera is an arts experience that brings stories of the streets to Bomhard Theater through music, art, poetry and dance.

The proceeds from the show will go to Athiri, a nonprofit where artists lead youth in service-learning projects to better their communities.

The Louisville Hip Hopera is created and directed by award-winning music educator, composer, producer, performer and community organizer Jecorey "1200" Arthur.

The cast includes Jacqui Blue, musician; Lance Newman, poet; Josh Ford, dancer; Renee Murphy, narrator; Kym Williams, DJ; Kevlen "The Illest-Strator" Goodner, artist; and Dawne Gee, actress.
