Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. The result: a record $756,655 was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The lighthearted musical has a six-week run starting tonight, Sept. 9, through Oct. 18. 'Nunsense' received the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Music and Best Off-Broadway Musical.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents a world premiere adaptation of Jean Anouilh's Antigone, translated and directed by ANW Resident Artist Robertson Dean, beginning September 20 and playing through November 20, 2015 (opens on September 26). Antigone is the second production in the Company's 2015-2016 BREAKING AND ENTERING season, preceded by the West Coast Premiere of David Ives' translation of Georges Feydeau's classic farce A Flea in Her Ear (September 6-November 22) and followed by All My Sons by Arthur Miller, in celebration of the Miller centennial (October 11-November 21).

Nineteen gifted students from drama schools across the UK were today awarded almost £73,000 worth of bursaries by Society of London Theatre (SOLT) in order to help them complete their training. The Clothworkers' Foundation bursary is worth a total of £37,500 over five years with £7,500 awarded to a student annually as part of the Laurence Olivier Bursaries scheme.

Josefina López, the award-winning playwright and co-screenwriter of Real Women Have Curves and Founding Artistic Director of CASA 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights, CA will receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree in the Arts from her Alma Mater, Columbia College Chicago on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at which time López will deliver a Commencement Address to the Class of 2015.
