Back by popular demand, Carson McCullers' rarely performed gem of a play, The Square Root of Wonderful, directed by Steve Jarrard, produced by Collaborative Artists Ensemble, tells the story of a man who lives in the shadows of a former triumph and his domineering mother; an architect who has fallen in love-and the woman caught between them.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Charles Dillingham, Interim Executive Director) announced that its 2011 - 2012 season has concluded, with the closing performance of August Wilson's JITNEY.

A Florentine Tragedy is sung in German and Gianni Schicchi is sung in Italian, both with English SURTITLES™. The double bill of A Florentine Tragedy/Gianni Schicchi runs for eight performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts beginning tonight, April 26 and running May 2, 5, 12, 15, 18, 20 and 25, 2012.

Legs Malone has announced "RAISE THE ROOF!", a benefit for Coney Island USA's urgently required theater and building repairs. With an ensemble of burlesque and sideshow performers, this benefit will help support the CIUSA. The benefit will take place on Saturday, April 7th at 9pm at Sideshows by the Seashore, 1208 Surf Avenue in Coney Island and admission is $20.

The Pasadena Playhouse's Stephen Eich will conclude his tenure as Executive Director on or around February 29, 2012, and will continue in a consulting capacity through June 30, 2012.

The Board of Directors of The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director) announced today that Charles Dillingham will serve as interim Executive Director of the theatre during the transition period following Stephen Eich's departure and as The Playhouse launches a national search for a new Executive Director. Dillingham's services are being provided by Arts Consulting Group (ACG), a national consulting firm where he is Vice President. Until he joined ACG in June of 2011 he had been managing director of Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles for twenty years.
