Summer Season 2013 Announced at the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts

Ol' Blue Eyes is celebrated in style during this summer season of top-notch entertainment at the Spencer Theater, as are dancing pirates, Chinese acrobats, Swedish icons, three-part harmony greats. Rock & roll and country legends, New Mexico beauties, a classical star, child actors and world fusion musicians in the 16 event line-up at the award-winning Alto, New Mexico performance hall. Additionally, pre-performance lobby buffets are offered ($20) before most every show, allowing patrons to easily enjoy a hot meal before curtain time.

Lehmann Maupin is honored to inaugurate its first international exhibition space in the historic Pedder Building in Hong Kong with a solo presentation of new work by acclaimed artist Lee Bul, on view today, 14 March - 11 May 2013. The gallery has represented Lee Bul since 2007, and in that time, she has been the subject of two solo exhibitions at Lehmann Maupin, New York. The inaugural exhibition at Lehmann Maupin, Hong Kong marks the first solo presentation of Lee Bul's work in China.

Director, screenwriter, and artist Harmony Korine has developed an aesthetic as unique and bracing as any that launched in the heyday of 1990s American independent film. Korine made his name as the screenwriter of the nihilistic-teen movie Kids, but came into his own as a director with the 1997 feature debut, Gummo. From March 8 through 22, 2013, Museum of the Moving Image will present a retrospective of all of Korine's five feature films to date, including his latest, Spring Breakers-a triumph at both the Toronto and Venice film festivals.
