As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Carnegie Hall will stage a one-night-only concert performance of Frank Loesser's beloved Broadway musical Guys and Dolls on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. According to the New York Times, the special event will star Nathan Lane as 'Nathan Detroit,' Megan Mullally as 'Miss Adelaide,' Patrick Wilson as 'Sky Masterson,' and Sierra Boggess as 'Sarah Brown.' Additional casting has not yet been announced.

Like a page straight out of a comic opera, 'The Most Happy Fella' utilizes a trio of comic relief to introduce us to the world of Tony's Vineyard and just how damn Italian it all is. This relief comes in the form of three chefs that work for Tony and when not cooking, they belt out their powerhouse voices (you have NO idea what you're in store for until you hear them!) that bring down the house eight shows a week. This week I give you the actors that bring Pasquale, Guiseppe and Ciccio to life - Martin Sola, Greg Roderick and Daniel Berryman. I hope you enjoy getting to know this tasty trio! With book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, DAMN YANKEES, the musical story of a baseball fanatic who makes a deal with the devil to get his team a chance at the pennant, features a memorable Richard Adler and Jerry Ross score including 'Whatever Lola Want, Lola Gets,' and (You've Gotta Have) 'Heart.' Today in 1976, Guys and Dolls opened at the Broadway Theatre, where it ran for 239 performances. Guys and Dolls is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on 'The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown' and 'Blood Pressure', two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably 'Pick the Winner'. Premiering on Broadway in 1950, the original production ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical has had several Broadway revivals as well as West End productions.

Sixty years ago in 1953, six actors, two children, a dog and two pigs moved into a historic ruin called Hanover Tavern. The transplanted New Yorkers founded Central Virginia's first professional theatre and named the company in memory of a deceased college friend, Barbara Barksdale.

The Wagner College Theatre concludes its 2012-13 Main Stage season with its production of the timeless musical comedy, 'Guys and Dolls.'
