In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920's draw to a close, a garish MC welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee's bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin's natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.

The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, America's longest running festival of new orchestral music, celebrates its 57th season, July 28 - August 11, 2019, with a remarkable women-centric season, featuring a series of relevant and forward-looking commissioned works. 

The Bach Choir is making history by performing at the historic State Theatre Center for the Arts for very first time.

Drama, improv and music will all form a part of the programme at the Masque Theatre this May. The Masque Theatre is an active community theatre that prides itself on bringing together audiences from the southern suburbs of Cape Town. 

Ben Edquist, of Houston, won the $15,000 First Prize in the finals of the 2014 Lotte Lenya Competition, sponsored by the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music and held on April 12, 2014, in Kilbourn Hall of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. Arlo Hill, of New York, won the Second Prize of $10,000, and the Third Prize of $7,500 was awarded to Natalie Ballenger, also of New York.

Fordham Alumni Theater Company presents a three-performance concert of the new musical, Turn Of The Screw, which plays tonight, July 28 - July 30, 2012, as a part of its summer festival of works-in-progress. The concerts will be performed in Pope Auditorium at Fordham College at Lincoln Center, 113 West 60th Street at Columbus Ave.

'Is He Dead?' opening at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre on November 29 will star Norbert Leo Butz, Jenn Gambatese, David Pittu, Tom Alan Robbins.
