The first Broadway production of DAMES AT SEA, beginning previews tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, will offer a student rush at the Helen Hayes Theatre box office, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. A limited number of $32 (inclusive of $2 facility fee) tickets will be available for each performance when the box office opens for that day's performance. A valid student ID must be presented at the time of purchase. Limit one ticket per transaction.

Nora's Playhouse will present the World Premiere of Laurence Leamer's solo play about Rose Kennedy, ROSE, at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre, 410 West 43nd Street, NYC, beginning November 21st, opening November 29th and continuing through December 13, 2015. Award-winning stage, film and TV actress Kathleen Chalfant will play Mrs. Kennedy under the direction of Caroline Reddick Lawson. The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today Let Us Now Praise Famous Men: The Films of Pedro Costa, from July 17-23. The series precedes the opening of the Portuguese auteur's long-awaited, "hauntingly beautiful" (Variety) new film, Horse Money, which played last fall at the 52nd New York Film Festival and opens theatrically at the Film Society on July 18.

New York City Center's 2014-15 season features an exciting lineup of dance and musical theater that begins with the 11th season of City Center's acclaimed Fall for Dance Festival. The Festival features 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, and will kick off in September with two free dance performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in association with The Public Theater, followed by five unique programs at City Center in October. The Band Wagon, an Encores! Special Event starring Brian Stokes Mitchell, follows in November, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns for a month-long engagement in December.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.
