As last week's episode of GOTHAM ended, Barbara Kean opened Jim Gordon's apartment door to discover Oswald Cobblepot greeting them across the threshold. Oswald is bonding with Don Marone, rival crime boss to the Falcone family. Earlier, Gordon and partner Harvey Bullock put a stop to Gotham's first vigilante who was nabbing corrupt officials and floating off to their deaths by weather balloon. Throughout the show, hints about an important place called Arkham were dropped by various characters. This December, City Winery New York and City Winery Nashville will be opening their doors to collect unused and unwanted musical instruments and equipment in good and working condition to donate to two fantastic causes working toward a better future for youth growing up in challenging circumstances and conflict zones. The amnesty is being organized in partnership with award-winning charity, In Place of War and Ronnie Scott's Charitable Foundation. All instruments, equipment and monetary donations will benefit Cultura y Libertad located in Medellín, Colombia and The Haven, located in South Bronx NYC (more information below).

'A Bronx Tale,' playing this week at Starlight Theatre, is one of those hidden gems of a show that enjoyed a fairly limited Broadway run. And because the Broadway run ended last fall after 700 performances (for now), a good portion of the New York cast has signed up for the touring company and are performing for Kansas City audiences. These folks obviously love this show. It shows in the performance.
