Stage Door Theatre presents the musical Saturday Night Fever featuring music and lyrics by the Bee Gees, and a book by Nan Knighton (in collaboration with Arlene Phillips, Paul Nicholas, and Robert Stigwood). The musical is based on both Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine article 'Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night', and the block-buster film that rocketed John Travolta to fame it inspired in 1977, Saturday Night Fever.

Comedian Rita Rudner, who has charmed her way into the hearts of millions with her witty stand-up routines, sold-out tours, best-selling books and appearances on HBO and late-night television, brings her unique brand of soft-spoken humor to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m.

Jazz is about 100 years old, and Latin jazz is 80. But Latin jazz also has another name: Eddie Palmieri. Palmieri, one of jazz's legendary pianists and band leaders, will appear in concert with his Latin Jazz Orchestra Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, as part of a tour commemorating his 80th birthday.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and MEG Presents announced today that tickets for 70s Soul Jam featuring The Whispers, Delfonics and Chi-Lites will go on sale Friday, September 22 at 10 a.m. Three of R&B music's most beloved and consistently popular vocal groups, The Whispers, Delfonics and Chi-Lites, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Tony Award winning creator, producer and theatrical innovator Peter Hall, who passed away on Monday, September 11th at age 86.

Multi-Grammy Award winner Delbert McClinton is 'One of the Fortunate Few,' who has managed to live his dreams for more than six decades. The stars have aligned for Delbert. Those stars may have leaned toward the blues, but Delbert has managed to keep them on the bright side. He will appear at the Boulder Theater on September 13, 2017.

Leonard Bernstein was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He took piano lessons as a boy and attended the Garrison and Boston Latin Schools. At Harvard University, he studied with Walter Piston, Edward Burlingame-Hill, and A. Tillman Merritt, among others. Before graduating in 1939, he made an unofficial conducting debut with his own incidental music to 'The Birds,' and directed and performed in Marc Blitzstein's 'The Cradle Will Rock.' Then at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, he studied piano with Isabella Vengerova, conducting with Fritz Reiner, and orchestration with Randall Thompson. 

The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills announced today that a premiere screening and panel celebrating the SHOWIME comedy series Episodes will conclude the PaleyLive Summer Season today, August 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. The program will feature a screening of the Season Five premiere, a panel conversation and audience Q&A with the cast and creative team.
