Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) continues to grow and establish itself as one of the cornerstones of the local comedy scene. During the 2009 Philly Fringe, PHIT will stage 16 days worth of sketch and improv comedy at two separate venues.

The Nederlander Theatre box office opens today, August 31 at 10:00 AM for THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, the first Broadway revivals of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. The box office will be open Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The Nederlander Theatre is located at 208 West 41st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 7 for THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, new productions of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. Specially priced preview tickets for $50-$35 (not including Saturday evening performances) will be available for both plays if ordered by September 6. Regular priced tickets are $100-$65. Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 17th season is the Bay Area Premiere of Bob Glaudini's (A View from 151st Street) Off-Broadway hit JACK GOES BOATING. Entertainment Event Productions will present the Off-Broadway premiere of the smash UK hit GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL, written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle. Performances will begin June 2nd, for an Opening Night on June 4th at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's (227 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre). Featured in the cast are Sonya Carter, Renee Colvert, Laurie Gardner, Justine Hall, and Carly Sakalove. This limited engagement runs through July 26th.
