EgoPo Classic Theater kicks off its John Guare Festival and its 2017-2018 season with a cabaret production of the rarely seen TONY Award winning rock musical version of Two Gentleman of Verona, directed by Brenna Geffers. John Guare and Mel Shapiro did the musical adaptation from Shakespeare's comedy, with lyrics by Guare and music by Galt MacDermot. Rehearsals are set to begin on Tuesday, July 25 for the Playwrights Horizons New York premiere production of For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday, a new play by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Sarah Ruhl (Stage Kiss, Dead Man's Cell Phone at Playwrights; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play; The Clean House).

Due to a professional scheduling conflict, Matthew Morrison has withdrawn from the previously announced performance of Sondheim on Sondheim on Sunday, July 23, at 7.30 pm at the Hollywood Bowl.
