New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances tonight, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

From tonight, July 17 through August 3, 2013, MASS MoCA (the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA) explodes with the sounds of the 12th Annual Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA, a utopian residency program dedicated entirely to the creation, study, and performance of the most adventurous music of our time. A three-week intensive of public performances, recitals, and lectures, the Festival will be attended by over 50 cutting-edge composers and performers from around the globe, including 37 fellows selected from a pool of over 250 applicants from 17 countries.

The world's leading artists will present and explore new work in a tap dance global mix at TAP INTERNATIONALS, tonight, July 11 at Symphony Space, (PJ Sharp Theater), 7:30pm. High school students from across Washington state packed The 5th Avenue Theatre tonight for The 11th Annual 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theater, a high school version of the Tony Awards proudly presented by Wells Fargo. The house was packed with 2,200 teenagers, dressed in costume representing their schools' musical theater productions, who cheered for their peers as they performed musical excerpts and accepted awards honoring top student achievements in musical theater. The acclaimed event, directed this year by Kat Rambsurg, handed out awards in 21 categories ranging from Outstanding Overall Musical Production to Outstanding Lobby Display.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) welcomes five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams will conduct the BSO in a special benefit concert tonight, June 4 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, appearing at the personal invitation of BSO Music Director Marin Alsop. Williams, celebrating 40 years of collaborating with legendary director Steven Spielberg, will conduct the BSO in selections from some of his most popular film scores. Furthermore, Williams is donating his services for this important fundraising concert for the BSO musicians' pension fund.
