Former Hells Angel George Christie's OUTLAW to Be Live On Stage Today – July 1

For more than three decades, George Christie was among the most prominent leaders of the Hells Angels biker organization. He was prosecuted and persecuted; hunted and hated, but always respected, even by his enemies, of which there were many. Now, Christie shares his journey from accused (though not convicted) murderer and arsonist to legitimate business owner and family man in the new, solo stage production OUTLAW. Written and directed by Richard La Plante, OUTLAW is coming to the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza June 29-July 1. Tickets are $50 and on sale now through MetroTix at www.metrotix.com or by calling 314-534-1111. But in Wallace Shawn's 1978 American masterpiece, facts are slippery things. In this radical re-imagining at JACK, two multi-disciplinary artists play the combative titular couple and head up the design team. Joined by an ensemble of some of Brooklyn's sharpest comedic voices, Gordon Landenberger (Bruce) and trans actress Theda Hammel (Marie) double as the set and sound designers, respectively, for this hilarious and timely new production.

The Grateful Dead returns to cinemas this summer for its highly anticipated annual event, '8 th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies.' For the eighth year in a row, a special concert presentation will bring fans together across the country for a unique celebration of the band. This year's concert is a presentation of the July 7, 1989 show from Philadelphia's John F. Kennedy Stadium, and highlights the band's exuberant resurgence, a peak that rivals any that came before it. When this show was recorded, the band included guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Brent Mydland and guitarist Bob Weir. It marks the final concert at that historic venue as the band storms through an epic set on one of the hottest days of the summer. In addition to the concert, which captures every note of the epic show, attendees will also get an inside look at the 2018 Limited Edition Boxed Set.

Richard Gere Will Return to Television in Upcoming BBC Drama Series MOTHERFATHERSON

His character in the BBC Two series, Max, is a charismatic self-made American businessman who owns media outlets in London and around the world.

Growing up in Southern California, George Christie was drawn to the rebellious lifestyle of notorious biker clubs at a young age, hanging out with the likes of The Question Marks and Satan Slaves, eventually joining the Los Angeles chapter of the Hells Angels. In 1978, he founded the club's Ventura chapter and quickly rose to fame battling police, prosecutors, rival gangs and members of his own organization for more than three decades.
