REDCAT Announces Fall 2012 Events

Today REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts and culture, announces its Fall 2012 events and previews major projects scheduled for early 2013. The wide-ranging program introduces Los Angeles audiences to influential artists and ensembles from around the world who are blurring traditional artistic boundaries and developing new forms. Tickets for most events will go on sale Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

The Laugh Factory Las Vegas Adds Magician Murray to Lineup, 4/20

Laugh Factory Las Vegas is introducing magic to their comedy mix with the addition of a resident show. The "Laugh Factory Presents: Murray 'Celebrity Magician'" stars magician Murray SawChuck, who comes direct from America's Got Talent and History Channels 'Pawn Stars'. The show debuts April 30th for a limited engagement and will be performed at 7:00 p.m. nightly, before the regular comic lineups take the stage at 8:30p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Aurora Theatre Company presents a fusion of dance, music and acting in its production of 'The Soldier's Tale' now through December 18. The show features music written by Igor Stravinksy. Directors Muriel Maffre (choreography) and Tom Ross (staging and acting) tell Broadway World about the show, which tells of a soldier and his deal with the Devil. Muriel, herself, takes to the stage as the puppeteer behind the soldier puppet, which she originally conceived for a music festival at Orcas Island.
