The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

Directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Familiar, Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at Playwrights; Indecent), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.

Excerpts will be performed from An American Soldier, a new two-act opera based on the true story of Danny Chen, proud American and son of Chinese immigrants residing in Manhattan's Chinatown. After enlisting in the U.S. Army, Chen is welcomed in boot camp, but in Afghanistan, his own base becomes enemy territory as military hazing turns deadly, posing powerful questions about what it means to be an American. Librettist David Henry Hwang and composer Huang Ruo discuss their collaboration with James Robinson, OTSL Artistic Director, and Nancy Yao Maasbach, president of the Museum of Chinese in America, prior to the opera's World Premiere in Saint Louis. Excerpts performed by Fang- Tao Jiang, Andrew Stenson, and Guang Yang, accompanied by pianist Lachlan Glen.

Gallery 30 South, Pasadena's popular gallery for internationally renowned artists has announced the first-ever solo art exhibition of multiple Platinum recording artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Chuck D from Public Enemy and Prophets of Rage. The exhibition titled "Behind the Seen" features some of Chuck D's most prolific artwork to date. The exhibit opens Sunday, March 4, 2018 and runs through the month. Chuck D will appear at Gallery 30 South on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. to meet and greet patrons and collectors. Gallery 30 South is located at 30 S. Race The Tide is the latest project from Los Angeles singer-songwriter Jesse Macht. Race The Tide has released the video for 'The Enemy,' the lead single from their self-titled debut album, out March 23. The striking black and white video is a family affair, featuring several members of the Macht clan, including his father Stephen, a veteran TV actor. It premiered at Grimy Goods, who said, 'The Enemy' plays on your emotions with its moody tones, while still remaining catchy AF! With the song being about Macht's 'angst and insecurities' about following his dreams and doing what he loves, the video brings all those serious feels to a visual reality.'

The Old Globe today announced that its 2018-2019 Season will kick off with the world premiere of the new musical Heart of Rock and Roll, inspired by the songs of Huey Lewis and the News, featuring a book by Jonathan Abrams and story by Tyler Mitchell and Jonathan Abrams. It will be directed by Gordon Greenberg with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Brian Usifer. Heart of Rock and Roll will bepresented by special arrangement with Tyler Mitchell, W. Leo Kiely, Bill Kiely, Whitney Kiely Moehle, and Tamar Climan. Central Works begins its 2018 season of new plays with Bamboozled by award-winning playwright Patricia Milton, opening with a press night on Saturday, Feb 17, and running through March 18 (previews Feb 15 & 16) at the historic Berkeley City Club. Bamboozled was developed by Ms. Milton in the Central Works Writers Workshop, and is inspired by true events. In Central Works 58th world premiere, Abby is a young appraiser touring with the show "Antiques Roadtrip." She's a black woman from L.A. traveling in the south-Shelby County, Tennessee. When she's accused of defrauding a Daughter of the Confederacy out of a fortune in Civil War heirlooms, Abby finds herself on the hook for a million dollars. Her legal team is flailing and her accuser is formidable. Should she cop a plea? Or take a long shot for justice?

Today, Goodman Theatre announces the Summer 2018 return of Jim McGrath's Pamplona starring stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway, directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Originally scheduled for Spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances but closed prematurely after its star suddenly fell ill on Opening Night and doctors ordered recuperation.

The piece juxtaposes psychological and magical realism in a tale of a courageous climate researcher who is defamed by special interests, including his own family.
