George Street Playhouse's Educational Touring Theatre, courtesy of support from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and RWJBarnabas Health, will premiere a new musical about the opioid crisis and its impact on teens and families. This original musical was developed in response to the devastating impact prescription opioid misuse, heroin, and fentanyl have had on communities throughout New Jersey. Anytown will premiere on September 25, 2018 at George Street Playhouse as part of a special Spotlight Conference on Opioid Abuse.  The Spotlight Conference will feature a keynote address from New Jersey State Attorney General Gurbir Grewal along with workshops for educators, school administrators, and public health professionals conducted by experts in the field from RWJBarnabas Health's Institute for Prevention and Recovery.

Star of stage, screen and television, Sophie Ward will lead the cast in the world premiere of Twentieth Century American cult writer James Purdy's The Paradise Circus at The Playground Theatre this October. Television icon, Dorothy Lyman, who is well known for playing Opal Gardner on All My Children and Naomi Oates Harper on Mama's Family, will premiere her new play, In the Bleak Midwinter, at Shetler Studios' Theatre 54, in Manhattan. The production stars Blue Bloods series regular, Abigail Hawk. The limited engagement runs September 8 - 23.

CHVRCHES debut a brand new song “Out Of My Head” featuring acclaimed Japanese electro pop group Wednesday Campanella, alongside its accompanying animé video. Wednesday Campanella are a chart topping trio made up of Kom_I, Kenmochi Hidefumi and Dir.F, who made their debut in 2012 and last year released Superman, their first album for Warner Music Japan; they released their acclaimed Galapagos EP in June. The breathtaking video for “Out Of My Head” is created by director Junichi Yamamoto (Pop Team Epic, Batman Ninja) and art director Yoshiki Imazu (Ringing City, Fluffiction).

The Soho Playhouse presents the North American debut of two Irish female playwrights and their influential plays: Eevan Brennan's and Siobhan Donnellan's Get the Boat and Colette Forde's Innit. Both were featured at the Limerick Fringe Festival in 2017, and both are now spreading awareness of a troubled world to a New York audience. Theirs are unique, subjective visions of the reality that is faced by the Irish people; simply writing about these issues could never have prepared an audience for how poignant are the stories they would hear told

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.

Following sold-out UK tours in 2016 and 2017, and a critically acclaimed hit run at the Arts Theatre in the West End in 2017, The Wipers Times will once again tour the UK this Autumn. It opens at Nottingham Theatre Royal on 28 August 2018, and visits Oxford, Exeter, Malvern, Leicester, Eastbourne and Birmingham before returning to the Arts Theatre in London for a 7 week season.
