Original Celtic Thunder vocalist Paul Byrom decided in Fall of 2010 to leave the group, in order to re-locate to the States and launch his worldwide solo career with a new solo recording. The resulting album, THIS IS THE MOMENT has been released and is available online and at all shows. Byrom's concert tour will take him to the New York area on Sept 21, 2012. He will be at B.B. Kings Blues Club and Grill.

The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, opens the 2012 Crossing the Line festival with three unique concerts by Grammy Award-winning guitarist and composer Bill Frisell. In a career spanning more than 35 years and more than 250 recordings-including over 40 albums of his own-the guitarist, composer and bandleader has established himself as a visionary presence in American music.

Fresh off its acclaimed run at the Cleveland Play House, One Night with Janis Joplin will take D.C. audiences on a musical journey into the life and inspirations of one of rock 'n' roll's greatest legends. The production is led by Cleveland native Mary Bridget Davies, who performs with Joplin's original band Big Brother and the Holding Company, and also features Sabrina Elayne Carten as the Blues Singer who pays homage to the artists that influenced Joplin's incomparable blues-rock blend. Created, written and directed by Randy Johnson, the production is produced in partnership with Cleveland Play House in association with Todd Gershwin and Daniel Chilewich of Premiere Media, with support from The Estate of Janis Joplin and Jeff Jampol of JAM, Inc. According to published reports, Broadway veteran Darlene Love suffered a heart attack last weekend before a performance at Tim McLoone's in Asbury Park, New Jersey. After experiencing stomach pains, the singer took asprin to make it through her performance. It wasn't until the following day when she was taken to the hospital that she learned that she had a heart attack. Love is currently recovering.

Northern Stage and Live Theatre in Newcastle Upon Tyne are thrilled to announce that they are joining forces to revive Alan Plater's play CLOSE THE COALHOUSE DOOR as a memorial production following his death in 2010. The two-time Grammy Award winner for "Producer of the Year" first rose to international acclaim through the global smash 'World Without Love' as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon, Peter moved effortlessly to Music Executive with The Beatles' Apple Records, then famously to producer and manager, handling the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and a host of others. Among his more recent projects is the upcoming Dreamworks movie Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. In addition to producing the soundtrack, he performs the film's only original song "Love Always Comes As A Surprise," co-written with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, which he will also perform at Feinstein's.

Internationally renowned Meistersinger Caranza and soprano Emily Stokes will be the headliners this coming Tuesday, June 12, at 8 PM in the Enrico Caruso Room at Little Italy's legendary Grotta Azzurra Ristorante, located at 177 Mulberry Street on the corner of Broome Street.
