Leslie Uggams will be gracing the stage at Bucks County Playhouse with her concert, AN EVENING WITH LESLIE UGGAMS. Uggams is best known for her role Kizzy in the 1977 mini-series, ROOTS, as well as many stage roles including Georgina in HALLELUJAH, BABY! According to Bucks County Playhouse audiences can expect "a variety of her classic, signature songs in an evening audiences won't forget." I had a chance to speak with Uggams about her concert as well as some of her most memorable roles.

Many are still lonesome for the energy, charisma and incredible voice of one of the most enduring icons of music history. A celebration of the life and music of Elvis Presley is scheduled November 8th at the Patchogue Theatre in Patchogue (Long Island) New York, when tribute artist Chris MacDonald presents his Memories of Elvis in Concert. Elvis Presley, recognized by TIME magazine as the 'Artist of the Century,' has sold more records than any other artist or group in the history of modern music.

The program includes the world premiere of Waiting at the Station with a commissioned score by New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint. Sharing the program with Waiting at the Station are the Scottish-inspired Brief Fling (a PNB premiere) and Tharp's homage to Ol' Blue Eyes and ballroom dance, the unforgettable Nine Sinatra Songs.
