ADOPT THE ARTS will launch a live benefit concert and live auction for LAUSD elementary schools on Thursday, May 12 at The Fonda Theatre (6126 Hollywood Boulevard) in Los Angeles (red carpet 6:00-7:15PM, show starts: 7:30PM). Music luminaries will gather to perform with and honor 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees GLENN HUGHES (Deep Purple) and ROBIN ZANDER (Cheap Trick) for their contributions to American art and culture. Proceeds from the concert and auction will be donated to ADOPT THE ARTS music programs in LAUSD elementary schools (see VIP ticket/donation below).

The 5th Avenue Theatre presents an exciting new 'revisal' of the sweeping saga Lerner & Loewe's PAINT YOUR WAGON. Featuring an all-new book by Pulitzer Prize nominee John Marans, this show has taken an incredible journey over the last five years from developmental workshops to The 5th Avenue stage this season. Ed Asner, winner of seven EMMY Awards with 20 nominations and five Golden Globes, will star in the staged reading of Walter Bagot's third play, Elevator Music, at the Skylight Theatre. An entertainment icon, Broadway performer, and Television Academy "Hall of Famer," Asner will be sharing the stage with theatre veteran Rob Nagle (recently Rogue Machine's Pocatello, Antaeus, Troubadour, Denver Center, and Arena Stage).

The world-premiere production of WRINGER, a new musical by Jacob Yandura and Rebekah Greer Melocik. Produced by the award-winning New York City Children's Theater, begins today at New York City Center Stage II. The production continues through April 17, 2016.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, today announced that acclaimed actors (and married couple) Becky Ann Baker (currently featured on "Girls") and Dylan Baker (currently featured on "The Americans") have joined the cast of its upcoming production of Henrik Ibsen's PEER GYNT, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, who becomes the company's new Artistic Director in July.

Sonia Friedman Productions announces today that tickets for the long awaited UK premiere of Tony Award-winning musical Dreamgirls go on sale this week. The brand new production begins preview performances at the Savoy Theatre from 19 November with Opening Night on Wednesday 14 December 2016.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber have announced the second production in the third smash season of Chicago's 'lost' musicals in staged concert series, PORCHLIGHT REVISTS...APPLAUSE, featuring book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams, with direction and choreography by Porchlight Artistic Associate Christopher Pazdernik, music direction by Nick Sula.

The creative team behind the Tony Award-winning PARADE, the much adored musical based on the trial of Leo Frank, discusses how history can inspire art. Accompanied by an ensemble of six performers and nine musicians, "An Evening on PARADE" will be on Monday, March 7, 7 P.M., at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
