Tonight, Thursday 20th August, sees the very first Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds brand-new online series, At Home With... in partnership with Theatre Tokens and sponsored by Theatre Royal Autumn Season Sponsor, Churchgates. The event, hosted on Zoom, will see celebrity pairings in conversation with each other from their own homes.

A new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' is presented both live and streaming by Firehouse Theatre.

This concert is part of the February 2020 Composers Now Festival celebrating living composers, the diversity of their voices and the significance of their musical contributions to our society. During the month of February, the Festival brings together dozens of performances presented by venues, ensembles, orchestras, opera companies, dance companies and many other innovative events throughout New York City.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced detailed programming for the second annual OSL Bach Festival, spanning three weeks from June 9-30, 2020, with concerts and masterclasses across four venues in Manhattan-including three orchestral concerts at Carnegie Hall-and featuring guest artists cellist Pieter Wispelwey, harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, and soprano Amanda Forsythe. The OSL Bach Festival was launched last June to great success as part of the first season of esteemed Baroque and Classical Music specialist Bernard Labadie as OSL Principal Conductor.

Renowned songwriter, producer, and arranger Bob Esty died on September 27, 2019 in Los Angeles, after a short battle with metastatic cancer. He was 72.

In his second season as principal conductor, Bernard Labadie leads Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) in its 33rd concert series in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The series begins with Italian pianist Beatrice Rana joining OSL for two Bach keyboard concertos on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. The program is bookended by two works by Mendelssohn: The Hebrides Overture and a?oeScottisha?? Symphony.

Iconic alternative rock band R.E.M. has shared previously unreleased song “Fascinating” to benefit global organization Mercy Corps' Hurricane Dorian relief and recovery efforts in the Bahamas. Band members Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Michael Stipe recorded “Fascinating” in 2004 at Nassau's Compass Point Studios.

The imaginative and increasingly important Key Pianists concert series, founded by pianist Terry Eder in 2015, embarks on its fifth season with a recital by James Dick, whom American Record Guide lauded for his 'patrician civility and lucid, beautiful sonority', on Thursday evening, October 10, 2019, at 7:30 pm at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.

Join Infinity Dance Theater and Alison Cook Beatty Dance for a dynamic performance at The Riverside Theatre featuring 24 dancers with and without disabilities. Infinity's first formal New York concert program was presented at The Riverside Theatre in 1997, so Infinity is thrilled to return to Riverside in 2019 for a full concert engagement with Alison Cook Beatty Dance. Alison Cook-Beatty, Founder and Artistic Director, has performed with the Paul Taylor Dance Company and Taylor 2, among other companies and choreographers in New York City. She has performed with Infinity Dance Theater at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Hartford Opera Theater will offer New in November 9, a collection of short operas and opera excerpts. This opera festival will play Sunday, November 18 (7pm) at The Cathedral House at Christ Church Cathedral, 45 Church Street, Hartford, CT. Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced a new initiative, a three-week, multi-disciplinary Bach Festival featuring 15 concerts across three venues in Manhattan, June 6-22, 2019. The programmatic centerpieces include performances by Paul Taylor Dance Company and the Goldberg Variations, which receives two interpretations - including the U.S. premiere of Bernard Labadie's orchestral setting - and provides the Festival theme: 'Transformation.'

'Arizona Justice,' written and performed by Katherine Brann Fredricks, is a Michael Moore/Spalding Gray style documentary expose of corruption in Arizona, involving Senator Barry Goldwater, land fraud, water rights, the mob, money laundering and murder between the 1960's and the early 2000's. Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival will present the play's world premiere August 26 to September 5.   Adam Chisnall directs.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces a one-on-one networking event with commercial and indie producers, Writer-Producer Speed Date onJuly 15, 2018 with coaching sessions at 4:30pm and 5:30pm at Studios 353,353 W 48th St, NYC.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Honeck-Moss Productions is proud to present 'In The Works.'  This exciting series is in it's second season was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment.  It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings. 

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, announced the winners of the two Audience Awards - the audience choice for best narrative and documentary feature films - sponsored by AT&T. To Dust, written and directed by Shawn Snyder, was honored with the Narrative award and United Skates, directed by Dyana Winkler and Tina Brown, was given the Documentary award. Each award comes with a cash prize of $10,000.

The Sarasota Ballet will revive Galina Samsova's production of Paquita during the company's 2018-19 season. The performances will take place on October 26, 27, and 28, 2018 at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts in Sarasota, Florida. Miss Samsova's production of Paquita was first staged for the Sarasota Ballet in 2010.
