Hey readers! first off, a little housekeeping. I'm trying to keep my blog interesting and relevant. My desire is to impart some experiences I've had in a painfully honest manner. That being said, this title sounds self-aggrandizing. I get it. I just finished the book 'Humblebrag' by Harris Wittels (head writer of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation'}, and it's made me gun shy to write ANYTHING! (PS- awesome book).

Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will join Katie Holmes on Broadway this fall in DEAD ACCOUNTS, the new comedy by Theresa Rebeck, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. This limited engagement of DEAD ACCOUNTS, produced by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish, and The Shubert Organization, will begin previews on Saturday, November 3 and open Wednesday, November 28 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

KATIE HOLMES will star in Theresa Rebeck's new play, DEAD ACCOUNTS, a five character comedy, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. The play will open on Broadway this fall at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) produced by Jeffrey Finn.

Grease, the satirical Broadway hit that launched the movie musical sensation starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, will be at Wells Fargo Pavilion from tonight, June 26 - July 1. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will get the 2012 Music Circus season off to a singing, dancing, high energy start.

REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." REBECCA will open on Broadway Sunday, November 18 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Previews will begin Tuesday, October 30.

As per TonyAwards.com, the Creative Arts Awards portion of the 2012 Tonys will be hosted by Norbert Leo Butz and Beth Leavel. Several of the Creative Arts Awards will be presented immediately before the Tony telecast begins; the remaining ones will be presented during commercial breaks throughout the evening. All winners will be acknowledged on the CBS broadcast.

When George M! opens at the Westchester Broadway Theatre this Thursday, June 7, it will be adorned with a little local flair! Four members of this fantastic cast are Hudson Valley locals! Melodie Wolford, of Putnam Valley, who plays Nellie Cohan (George's mom) is a teacher at the Peekskill Movement Center. Victoria Dennis (nine years old) plays the Little Girl, which isn't her first role at the Westchester Broadway Theatre; she played Annie in Big River, she also will appear at the Apollo Theatre this Summer. Gabriella Palminteri, (ten years old) from Bedford, who alternates in the role of Little Girl, is also no stranger to the WBT stage, Last year she appeared in the Musical, Suessical as Mrs. Mayor. Colin Pritchard, of Harrison, is returning to the stage at the Westchester Broadway Theatre, the ensemble member of George M!, was most recently seen in our 2005 production of Sugar.

The 2012-2013 Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre season was announced today by CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. The new season, the 46th season at the Music Center of Los Angeles, will include Jeff Goldblum in the West Coast premiere of the smart, sexy, new Broadway comedy "Seminar," Rachel York in the beloved 1930s musical romp - Cole Porter's "Anything Goes," the American premiere and pre-Broadway presentation of the dramatic musical "Backbeat" which features classic rock 'n' roll in its story of the birth of the Beatles, Tracie Bennett starring as the iconic Judy Garland in the West Coast premiere of the acclaimed play with music - "End of the Rainbow," and the daring new musical that explores a shocking event in American history - Kander and Ebb's "The Scottsboro Boys." Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kinky Boots, the new musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), will have its pre-Broadway world premiere in Chicago this fall.
