On Sunday, April 23, 2017, a true 'ARTifact' will be presented in New York City for the first time by the Arnold Unger Foundation for Remembrance, Inc. in association with the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture and Jewish Broadcasting Service (JBS).

The Public Theater announced today that three final performances have been added to the critically acclaimed New York premiere of Latin History for Morons, created and performed by John Leguizamo. Directed by Tony Taccone, this fiercely funny, satirical one-man show was inspired by Leguizamo's observation that Latinos are essentially invisible in the standard American history curriculum.

'Prayer for Peace: The Saga of a Korean War Survivor': a story that shows the destruction of war and the power of Faith. 'Prayer for Peace: The Saga of a Korean War Survivor' is the creation of published author, Aesop Rhim artist, family man, and missionary who survived the Korean War, and graduated from Seoul University, and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) will present a moderated conversation with prolific musician, writer, journalist, actor and activist Henry Rollins on Thursday, March 30, at 6 p.m. in the Virginia G. Piper Theater at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts.

Charles Busch and Penny Fuller, who appeared together as bosom buddies Mame and Vera in Auntie Mame at the Bay Street Theatre, will lend their voices to Monahan & Oyen's DIVA: Live From Hell. Busch (The Divine Sister, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) will voice the manager of the dingy cabaret venue in Hell, where Desmond Channing (played by Monahan) is doomed to perform his torturous act for eternity. Fuller (Sunday in the Park with George, The Elephant Man), who was nominated for a Tony Award for her portrayal of Eve Harrington in the musical Applause, will voice the grandmother of Desmond Channing (loosely inspired by the character of Eve Harrington's nemesis, Margo Channing).

The Virginia Arts Festival presents Brooklyn-based dance company Urban Bush Women (UBW) in the world premiere of Hair and Other Stories on Saturday, April 22 at 8 p.m. at the Attucks Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia. Broadway and West End star Tam Mutu will star as Archibald Craven in The 5th Avenue Theatre's enchanting Broadway-bound revival of The Secret Garden. Mutu joins a phenomenal cast including Tony Award winner Daisy Eagan, Tony Award nominee Josh Young, Lizzie Klemperer, Charlie Franklin and Sean G. Griffin.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere production of Roe written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Bill Rauch. Roe is a co-production with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

Rubicon Theatre Company celebrates Black History Month with THE DEVIL'S MUSIC: THE LIFE AND BLUES OF BESSIE SMITH, starring singer and actress Miche Braden of the original Off-Broadway production (named one of the 10 Best Off-Broadway productions of the year by the N.Y. Daily Times). Described by CBC as a, "bawdy, bluesy, boozy rollicking night out at the theatre," the show follows the life, loves and career of blues and jazz singer Bessie Smith, called the "Empress of the Blues." 

Interrobang Theatre Project concludes its 2016-17 Season, exploring 'Flesh and Blood,' with the Chicago premiere of Deanna Jent's drama FALLING, one family's battle against stigma from society and each other.
