I had a great time attending Desert Theatreworks' terrific production of Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP. I am unsurprised that the directing, acting, and technical aspects of the show are fabulous -- that is DTW's modus operandi. The script leaves the audience guessing and laughing. This production is top-notch.

Drawing from the new wave and no wave traditions of bands like Joy Division, Talking Heads, and Suicide, Alexander and bandmates Kyle Grabski, Austin Harshman, and Jeremy Lentz then explode the results like fireworks in the night sky. 

Today, Arizona-based Emby Alexander shares 'You Can Do It'. MXDWN premiered the track, praising it as 'positively upbeat and hook-filled.' Indie88 declared 'this dreamy tune is definitely a must-listen.'

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub team up again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the guidance of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, Shanta Thake, Senior Director of Artistic Programs for The Public Theater, and Alex Knowlton, Director of Joe's Pub, the Theater Residency program serves as an host for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The residency will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio from June 18 29 with Public Readings, FREE and open to the public, on June 28 and 29. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is celebrating Jazz Appreciation Month throughout the month of April with a variety of events for all ages across the Cultural Campus, from brand new works produced as part of the Center's sixth annual Jazz Residency program, to educational opportunities for children below age 5, and more.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is excited to announce three new Jazz Residency teams for the 2018-19 season: David Allen, Raquel Salas Rivera, and Diane Monroe; Dan Blacksberg with Yosef Goldman; and Dariel Peniazek., Maya Peniazek, and Ariacne Trujillo. Collaborating with the Kimmel Center throughout winter and spring, each team will work to create a new project that is relevant and engaging to the Philadelphia community. In the residency's sixth consecutive year, all three of these new works will focus on how the United States is coming to terms with the question of identity and these artists' struggles to define belonging.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Over Valentine's Day weekend Joe's Pub hosted Dance Now, which presented an imaginative trio of performances, Dorothy, Annie, Maria Together. Each work gave a new twist to those well-known musicals The Wiz, Annie Get Your Gun and The Sound of Music. New York City's "Best Tiny Stage" exploded with energy, creativity, and humor as these Broadway classics were revived for a contemporary audience.
