Students from the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex Academic Theatre will be performing 'The Consumables' as part of Artscape 2015. The troupe was invited to perform at 11 a.m., today, July 18, at the Theatre Project, 45 W. Preston Street. Tickets are FREE.  This production contains strong language and scenes of an adult nature and is not suitable for children.

Seventy-six trombones close the Roxy Regional Theatre's 32nd season with a nostalgic bang when Meredith Willson's great American musical classic THE MUSIC MAN marches onto the mainstage, beginning today, July 17. The production will continue through August 22.

David-Troy Somerville, co-founder and original lead singer of the 1950's rock 'n' roll vocal group The Diamonds and known to music fans around the world as 'Diamond Dave' Somerville, passed away early Tuesday morning in Santa Barbara from cancer. He was 81.

And Sondra Morton, Jayme Smith and co. (that would be Act Too) stages their company's latest work at the historic Franklin Theatre - The Sound of Music - starring Kimberly Rye as Maria, Cameron Bortz as Rolf and the inimitable Matt Baugher as Georg Von Trapp. Check it out!

The real-life acting couple Keir Dullea (2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY) and Mia Dillon (CRIMES OF THE HEART, Broadway original cast) will be joined by actors Todd Cerveris, Cameron Clifford, Don Noble and Christa Scott-Reed in the BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE production of Ernest Thompson's comedy ON GOLDEN POND, running tonight, July 10, to August 2, at the Playhouse, located at 70 S. Main Street in New Hope, Pa.

This entertaining musical is complete with memorable performances, mother-daughter struggles and the hardships of show business life, all while set during the infamous vaudeville era.

The Theatre Group at SBCC will open the 2015/16 anniversary season with the well-loved musical, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN, Book, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson, Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey.
