The Huntington Theatre Company will open its 2015-2016 season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim's most romantic and popular work, led by Tony and Olivier nominee Haydn Gwynne, as well as Broadway's Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina. R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER: THE HISTORY (AND MYSTERY) OF THE UNIVERSE will run October 1-25, 2015 at The Balzer Theater at Herren's (downtown Atlanta), starring Tom Key as R. Buckminster Fuller. Written by D.W. Jacobs with direction by David de Vries, the play is based on the life, work, and writings of R. Buckminster Fuller.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform an American Salute at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park on Sunday, September 27, 2015, 7:00 p.m. ASO Music Director Robert Spano will lead the Orchestra in a program of American classics, including selections from Bernstein's West Side Story and Candide, Gershwin's An American in Paris, John Williams' Star Wars, and other American musical selections.

PITTSBURGH - Revel in two of Beethoven's most notable and majestic works during the Pittsburgh Symphony's BNY Mellon Grand Classics: BeethovenFest: The Immortal June 5-7. It features the composer's violin concerto and Symphony No. 9, with its famous "Ode to Joy." 

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 7th at 8/9c hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long award season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize.

Featuring Leonard Bernstein's soaring score and lyrics from some of the wittiest writers of all time, this rollicking musical satire chronicles the lives and loves of Candide, a simple soul whose glass is always half-full.

HE JEWISH SPIRIT, a new cd on Sono Luminus (DSL-92182), was released today, October 28, 2014, with Essential Voices USA, conducted by Judith Clurman with soloists Ron Raines, Bruce Ruben and Michael Slattery.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the details for Fassbinder: Romantic Anarchist (Part 1), May 16 - June 1. Divided into two parts, the retrospective will be the most extensive presentation of Fassbinder's films in New York since 1997, with Part 1 including almost all of his work leading up to 1974 and Part 2 (screening in November) to pick up from 1974 through 1982. The ambitious two-part series will include all of his theatrical features, much of his television work, films he starred in, films that influenced him, and films that were influenced by his work.

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of The Jungle Book will play its 100th performance on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:30pm. The Jungle Book is produced in association with Chicago's Goodman Theatre where the run began on Friday, June 21 and was extended by popular demand through August 18. The Boston run began Friday, September 7, has been extended twice by popular demand, and continues through Sunday, October 20. The Jungle Book is produced by special arrangement with Disney Theatrical Productions.

Sixteen members of cast of the Huntington Theatre Company's production of The Jungle Book will perform the National Anthem tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Fenway Park before the nationally televised 1:05pm Red Sox game versus the New York Yankees.
