Tony Award-winner Faith Prince will return to Broadway as evil orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in the new Broadway production of ANNIE at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets). She will begin performances tonight, July 19. Emmy Award-winning 'Glee' star Jane Lynch will play her final performance as Miss Hannigan on Sunday, July 14.

'Leapin' Lizards!' ANNIE, one of the best-loved family musicals of all time, takes the stage at Theatre by the Sea (TBTS) from tonight, July 17, through Saturday, August 10. Press night is scheduled for Friday, July 19 at 8pm.

The 2013 Cannes Lions received submissions from creative agencies and advertisers representing more than 90 countries around the world. When ANNIE first opened on Broadway in 1977, it was filled with sage advice that the city needed to hear. Shout! Broadway released the new 2012 Cast Recording for ANNIE CD on Tuesday, June 18. To celebrate the release of the CD cast members Jane Lynch, Anthony Warlow, Lilla Crawford, Brynn O'Malley, Clarke Thorell, creators Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Tom Meehan and more signed copies of the album at Barnes & Noble (160 East 54th Street at 3rd Avenue) yesterday. To celebrate the release of the CD cast members Jane Lynch, Anthony Warlow, Lilla Crawford, Brynn O'Malley, Clarke Thorell, creators Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Tom Meehan and more will sign copies of the album at Barnes & Noble (160 East 54th Street at 3rd Avenue) beginning promptly at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 1:45 p.m.

Beginning June 28, ANNIE will play an additional matinee on Friday afternoons on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street) - rather than an evening show on Wednesday, it was announced today.

ANNIE, nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, will launch a US National Tour in the 2014-2015 season. The national tour will be produced by Troika Entertainment. The new production of the classic Tony Award-winning musical, opened to critical acclaim on November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street).

Happy Birthday, Charles Strouse! Strouse's first Broadway musical was the 1960 hit Bye Bye Birdie, with lyrics by Lee Adams, who would become his long time collaborator. Following this was Golden Boy (1964, also with Adams), starring Sammy Davis, Jr. and It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman (1966, based on the popular comic strip) which introduced the song 'You've Got Possibilities' sung by Linda Lavin. In 1970, Applause (starring Lauren Bacall, with book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and lyrics by Adams) won Strouse his second Tony Award. In 1977, Strouse adapted another comic strip for the stage, creating the hit Annie, which garnered him his third Tony Award and two Grammy Awards. Other Strouse musicals include Charlie and Algernon (1979), Dance a Little Closer (1983, with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner), Rags (1986), Nick & Nora (1993), and An American Tragedy (1995, with lyrics by David Shaber).
