The Kretzer Piano Music Foundation's popular MUSIC FOR THE MIND concert series will present The Stuart School of Music in concert on Tuesday, June 19, at 7 pm, in the Harriet Himmel Theatre at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. This concert will launch the school's 17th year of performing in this cultural and historic venue.

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Long Day's Journey Into Night comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1. Richard Eyre's acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons(Brideshead Revisited, Reversal of Fortune, 'The Borgias') and Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Lesley Manville(Another Year, 'Harlots,' Phantom Thread). Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game, The Riot Club), Rory Keenan (BBC's 'War & Peace,' 'Peaky Blinders') and Jessica Regan (reprising the role as Cathleen from the 2016 Bristol Old Vic production) round out the ensemble cast.

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

Making his UK directorial debut, BT McNicholl directs Jonathan Cake (Frank), Greg McHugh (Carl), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Melanie) and John Gordon Sinclair (Rick). The production opens on 22 May, with previews from 10 May, and runs until 7 July.

By popular demand, the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture brings back its 'Mambo Memories' concert, a tribute to the Palladium Ballroom era of the 1950s with a performance featuring a wide array of singers and dancers on Saturday, April 21st, 7:30 PM in the Main Theater at the Hostos Center, Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse, in the Bronx. The New Black Fest and The Lark, two theater organizations dedicated to celebrating and advocating for stories that explore the intersection of art and social justice, are proud to announce the fifth annual The New Black Fest at The Lark. This week-long event is aimed at showcasing diverse and provocative work in a festival of Black theater artists from throughout the Diaspora, and will feature talkbacks, a panel event, and staged readings of four plays-in-progress. The festival will take place April 9-13, 2018, and will include works by 2017 Djerassi Writer in Residence France-Luce Benson (Deux Femmes On the Edge De La Revolution), 2018 Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award recipient Donja R.
