Dick Van Dyke, beloved actor, singer, dancer, writer and comedian, will receive SAG-AFTRA's highest honor - the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment.

The Kennedy Center hosts its 11th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival from Saturday, September 1, 2012 to Monday, September 3, 2012, featuring more than 40 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The three-day, Center-wide event offers a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.

This fall, the New York International Fringe Festival hit Unspeakable - described as 'a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic icon Richard Pryor' - will come to Chicago on the Royal George Theatre Main Stage, 1641 N. Halsted, in a limited eight-week engagement beginning Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The official opening night performance is Monday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Programmed by Producing Artistic Director Ted Pappas, Pittsburgh Public Theater's MADE IN AMERICA season includes a six-play Subscription Series plus two Special Events, all by American writers and set in cities across the USA. Surrounding the shows, a series of Town Hall Meetings will throw open the O'Reilly Theater doors to a broad range of topics and people.

PROBATION will begin tonight, July 12 (7pm) at Repertorio Español's Gramercy Arts Theater (138 East 27th Street, btw. Lex. & 3rd). PROBATION plays through September 27, 2012. The play will be directed by the playwright and its cast includes Hannia Guillén as Yenny, Alfonso Rey as Pancho & Sandor Juan as Freddy. Probation is the first production at Repertorio to be presented in Spanish with subtitles via Repertorio's new in-seat Simultext Captioning System. Tickets are on sale now.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announces an all-star summer line-up set to kick off in June. The summer will feature the legendary Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim, jazz songstress Diana Krall, instrumentalist Chris Botti, the multi-talented Steve Martin and many more. Tickets to all performances go on sale Friday, April 27. Season sponsors include Bank of Nevada and the Las Vegas Design Center.

Acording to Deadline.com, Eddie Izzard is currently in final talks to star in and produce NBC's upcoming remake of the 1960's sitcom 'The Munsters'. The project, entitled MOCKINGBIRD LANE, is written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer. Izzard is the first actor who has been cast in the project.
