Joe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998 and has quickly became one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. With its genre-blind booking and vast diversity of interests, the stage at Joe's Pub gives voice to a world of varied and stellar artists.

With one of the most recognizable titles in the world, Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet is often obscured by its own renown. 'It's the play we all think we know,' says Patrick Mulcahy, PSF producing artistic director. 'We see a few productions that often fail to measure up to the play itself, maybe the Zefferilli film, and we think we're done with Romeo & Juliet,' he says. Yet, even after performing in three professional productions and teaching the play for 20 years, Mulcahy found himself surprised during auditions four months ago. 'There were a few moments where I heard lines I had never heard before, or got an insight from something an actor did that was new to me.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director, Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) has announced its 25th Anniversary season productions. The 2010-2011 season will feature world premieres from Academy Award® winner Ethan Coen, Pulitzer and Tony Award® winner David Auburn, Lucy Thurber, a return to the work of Tony Award® and Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter and a 25th anniversary one-act festival that will reunite a who's who of Atlantic alumni playwrights, directors and actors.

Due to popular demand, Neil Simon's award-winning comedy The Prisoner of Second Avenue has extended its run at the Vaudeville Theatre until 25 September 2010. Directed by Terry Johnson and starring Jeff Gold blum and Mercedes Ruehl, The Prisoner Of Second Avenue is the first West End production to be staged by The Old Vic Theatre Company.

Her fifth exhibition at Lehmann Maupin features paintings, drawings, sculpture and video animation. Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.
