La MaMa - the world-renowned theatre complex located on East 4th Street in New York City's East Village - will begin its 53rd year this fall with a timely-themed season entitled "LA MAMA EARTH," featuring works that raise awareness of world ecology and social justice both locally and globally.

Rain has so far prevented Bryant Park Corporation and The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Parking Lot from presenting 'Hamlet' under the stars this Holiday Weekend in Bryant Park. So a special performance has been set for Monday, May 26 at 7:00 PM, when excellent weather is now in the forecast. The public is invited to savor Shakespeare's best-known tragedy as the holiday weekend draws to a close.

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The season of productions is supported for the fourth consecutive year by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

International Ballet Classique (IBC) opens it 2014 performance season with a festive and lively Spring Ballet Festival. The performance will begin with Marius Petipa's ever popular the Satanella pas de deux from the Carnival in Venice followed by Les Apparitions (The Appearances) an original ballet choreographed by guest artist Malcolm Burn Artistic Associate and Ballet Master of the Richmond Ballet. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2013-2014 theater season. Reaching hundreds of thousands of audience members annually, the theater season features a new Kennedy Center re-imagining of Henry Krieger and Bill Russell's Side Show, in association with La Jolla Playhouse with revisions by Krieger and Russell and direction by Academy Award winning director Bill Condon; touring productions of Sister Act, Elf, Flashdance – The Musical, Peter and the Starcatcher, An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, and Disney's The Lion King; and an international theater festival highlighting renowned companies from around the world. The season will also bring the seventh season of Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, individually showcasing five Broadway performers in a cabaret setting.
