FIRST LOOK photos of WILL YOUNG as the Emcee and LOUISE REDKNAPP as Sally Bowles have today been released, ahead of the UK tour of CABARET this autumn, opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Thursday 21 September 2017 and playing theatres in Blackpool, Malvern, Cardiff, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Salford, Edinburgh, Bromley, Dublin and Brighton.

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), will present CABARET, by Joe Masteroff and John Kander and Fred Ebb. Directed by Brian Clowdus, the show opens on August 3rd and runs to August 27th. CABARET will be produced at The Open Air Room in Serenbe. Gianandrea Noseda makes his highly anticipated first appearances as the seventh music director of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in July with two performances: Friday, July 28, at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and Saturday, July 29, on the National Mall (between 4th and 7th Streets) with a free concert for the community as part of the day's celebration of Music and Movement: The National Symphony Orchestra and National Dance Day.

The 1998 Sam Mendes staging of Kander and Ebb's classic "Cabaret" has come through the Paramount several times. And why not? It's a great show and a big crowd pleaser. But it requires a cast that gets the show and the tone to be done right. Fortunately for us the current tour at the Paramount is a shiny (or rather intentionally not shiny) example of how good this show can be and why it's still an enduring classic.

The season includes a spring production of Grease, by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey; and in the summer, a new adaptation of Robin Hood, by Rachel Teagle; Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, and musical theatre favorite, Cabaret, by Joe Masteroff and John Kander and Fred Ebb. A reimagined Sleepy Hollow, adapted by Brian Clowdus, and perennial favorite, The Snow Queen, an adaptation by Rachel Teagle, will round out the calendar year.
